The project PARSIFAL AT THE ATHENAEUM, was initiated in May 2015 by the Foundation, in partnership with the "George Enescu" Philharmonic, on the occasion of the 100 years anniversary of the premiere of this opera in Romania, in 1915, under the baton of George Enescu.
The great success of these performances determined the continuation of the project in 2016.
On October 7th and 8th, 2016, The Romanian Foundation for Excellence in Music and the "George Enescu" Philharmonic renew their partnership and propose to the public two exceptional performances of Act I of "Parsifal", as a gala opening of the concert season of the Romanian Athenaeum, with the participation of Stefan Vinke (Parsifal), Eric Halfvarson (Gurnemanz), Petra Lang (Kundry), Bela Perencz (Amfortas), Marius Bolos (Titurel) and others.
