Richard Wagner Society Romania
The first Wagner Society in Romania - it will have its debut on the occasion of the October 7th and 8th, 2016 concerts. Under the honorary presidency of His Excellency Werner Hans Lauk, ambassdor of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Society will be a forum and an open platform of information, meeting and dialogue for the fans of Wagner's operas.
Master classes dedicated to the Wagnerian repertoire
The Foundation is organizing master classes dedicated to the Wagner operas. They will be offered by Stefan Vinke, Eric Halfvarson , Petra Lang and Bela Perencz to the Romanian singers.These classes represent a wonderful opportunity for the Romanian singers and the beginning of a singing tradition in this style n Romania.
The general rehearsal
The general rehearsal - on October 5th at 7 pm., will welcome students from schools and the University in Bucharest and will connect them with the world of Wagnerian legends and myths, realized in music, with which they are already familiar through experiences such as "Lord of the Rings", Game of Thrones" or "Star Wars", insipred by subjects similar to those of Richard Wagner.
Artistic collaboration
"Parsifal at the Athenaeum" creates an exceptional opportunity for artistic collaboration between the most important international artists specialized in the Wagnerian repertoire and the Romanian musicians ,such as the members of the Orchestra and Choir of the "George Enescu" Philharmonic and the singers soloists participating in these concerts.
A unique concept
The performances integrate a large variety of theatrical and technical elements, as well as the Athenaeum itself , with its very unique acoustics and architecture, in a most original operatic concept. The public finds itself in the middle of the action and of the music, for a unique emotional and sensorial experience.
