The Romanian Foundation for Excellence in Music is a non- governmental, non-profit organization, dedicated to the progress of culture in Romania, offering to the most talented young musicians of the country the unique opportunity to perfect their art through study and performance in collaboration with well-known international artists.
Thanks to the Friends of the Foundation – donors, sponsors and partners – over a hundred very promising young musicians can develop their artistic potential and perform at a very high level in Romania or abroad.
In Romania, today, there is a clear need for the society at large to compensate for the meager resources allocated to culture by the government. The lack of investment in programs dedicated to professional specialization at a high level and the critical personal economic situation of the artists, are the principal causes of the “talent drain” in favor of other countries. Romania loses a very important cultural and human capital.
