Organized by the Romanian Foundation for Excellence in Music, the Festival will welcome for 8 days prestigious artists such as Giuliano Carmignola, the Borodin Quartet, Mario Caroli, Tamás Varga, Christian Badea, Dario Bonuccelli, Martin Owen and others, together with the most promising young Romanian musicians and with Vlad Maistorovici – the featured composer of the Festival. They will be joined by the Mozart Kammerphilharmonie – the resident Festival orchestra, formed of young Romanian musicians in addition to their colleagues from several European countries , as well as important international guests.
Together, they will present to the public masterpieces of the classical and contemporary repertoire,in a series of orchestral concerts, chamber music concerts and solo recitals.
Launched in May 2013, with a most successful gala concert, by Giuliano Carmignola, Christian Badea, the baroque ensemble „La Stravaganza” and the Mozart Kammerphilharmonie, the Festival will be an event of the highest artistic quality, emphasizing the rich historic and cultural tradition of the city and creating, in the charming atmosphere of the Old Town,a unique meeting place for artists and public.
