The Sibiu/Hermannstadt International Music Festival placed Sibiu together with the world's greatest concert halls. The Borodin Quartet received standing ovations at the first concert in Romania during the almost 70 years of existence of the ensemble. Ruben Agaronian (first violin), Serghei Lomovski (second violin), Igor Naidin (viola) and Vladimir Balşin (cello) offered a world class performance of Quartet no. 9 by Beethoven and of Quartets no. 7 and 9 by Dimitri Shostakovich, at the Festive Hall of the Sibiu ASTRA Library, within the Sibiu/Hermannstadt International Music Festival. more
