Leader - Suisse Romande Orchestra

Leader of the world renowned  Suisse Romande Orchestra in Switzerland, Bogdan Zvorişteanu graduated at the Academy of Music in Bucharest, under the guidance of professors Victoria Basta and Ştefan Gheorghiu, later perfecting his musical training with Alberto Lysy at the International Menuhin Academy of Music in Gstaad and in Blonay (Switzerland). He is a laureate of many international competitions, including the International Competition “George Enescu”, “TiborVarga” in Sion, “Leopold Mozart” in Augsburg and the Geneva competition.

Bogdan Zvorişteanu’s concert activity is conducted in parallel with his chamber music activity, performing with personalities such as Alberto Lysy, Brigitte Meyer, Jian Wang, Kirill Gerstein, Bruno Pasquier, Chantal Juillet, Ettore Causa , Stanimir Todorov and the “Voces” Quartet. He performed with renowned conductors such as Lord Yehudi Menuhin, Andrey Boreyko, Pinchas Steinberg, Marek Janowski, Fabio Luisi, Jan Stulen and Gilbert Varga, often been invited at Festivals in Europe and in Argentina, Canada, China, South Korea or Japan. Bogdan Zvorişteanu was invited in 1997 as leader of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), and in 1998 occupied the same post at the Chamber Orchestra of Pforzheim (Germany).

Bodgan Zvorişteanu became a Professor at the Menuhin Academy at the proposal of Alberto Lysy and held master classes in Salzburg (Austria), in Timişoara, Braşov and Bucharest, Buenos Aires, Carillo (Argentina), in Seoul, Yeossu (South Korea) ,Foshan (China), Solsona (Spain) and Speyer (Germany).

 In 2008, Bogdan Zvorişteanu recorded the complete Sonatas and Partitas for solo violin by Bach for “Dinemec Classics”.
